FMC Technologies Pitreavie Business Park , DunfermlineWMS Ltd have successfully negotiated Heads of Terms and a rent free period for their Clients FMC Technologies within the 50,000 Sq Ft Warehouse and 20,000 Sq Ft Offices that form the existing Palmer & Harvey Building directly across from FMC's Scottish H.Q.

WMS Ltd have also Project Managed the Internal fit out of the building including complete office fit out, the installation of a new 10 tonne Gantry Crane and 3 new jib cranes within the warehouse.

To accommodate and compliment FMC's operations a new access and access up and over door have been incorporated.

As part of Phase 2 WMS Ltd, along with their own design team, Designed & Project Managed, a new 150 space car park and security fence to the rear of the FMC Complex.

As part of the Phase 3 Capital Expansion plans, WMS Ltd produced all early designs and feasibility costs for FMC's general upgrade, internally, incorporating a New 12.5 tonne overhead Gantry Crane, New Paint Shop and assembly area within Bays 1,2 & 3.

WMS Ltd also Designed, in tandem with our Design Team, and provided all feasibility costs for FMC's extension to their existing High Bay Production and Testing building and the New High Bay Building and Test Pits that will sit alongside. All external works, drainage and fire mains diversions and the installation of New 60 Tonne and 12 Tonne overhead Gantry Cranes and an external 60 Tonne Gantry crane.

WMS Ltd are acting as FMC Technologies Employers Agents working with the successful Design Build Contractor on the Phase 3 Expansion.

Phase 2:
Internal fit-out of the existing Palmer & Harvey Building and the photograph shows the installation of the New Gantry Crane Rails. The rails had to be supported on separate piled foundations, all work carried out within the existing building and Project Managed by WMS Ltd.
Phase 1: BEFORE
Internal Fit-out of the Existing Palmer & Harvey Building.
Up and Over Door Access retrospectively fitted along with the new access road and ramp into the Building. This formed part of the Phase 1 Operation, covering the Internal fit-out of the existing Palmer & Harvey building for FMC.

Phase 2:
WMS Ltd were responsible, as Project Managers, to deliver an additional 150 Space Car Park including all Security fencing, drainage and landscaping. 		Photograph shows the beginning of the Construction of FMC's New 7.2m Deep Test Pit, within the New High Bay Production Building.
Sheet Piling was the preferred construction method with the Piling remaining as permanent shuttering, aiding with the design of the new pit and the close proximity to the existing Low Bay, Bay 5 and the Existing Test Pit within.

Trench Fill Foundations were specified to accommodate the differing levels on the site and the poor ground conditions.

Steel Frame complete, excluding last Truss, 40 Tonne Crane removed from Bay 5 now into Bay 6, awiting the arrival of the new 60 Tonne Crane.

Yes this is a Scottish Sky!!		 New High Bay Production Building, Bay 6 being erected, prior to work beginning on Bay 5 High Bay Extension and External 60 Tonne Gantry Crane. Bay 6 Columns tied into existing structure providing 1m gap between existing and New Columns. Roof Cladding under Construction. New Yard complete to the West of the site. Pillar Box seen on existing Bay 5 Gable Elevation, where Crane was removed prior to installation into Bay 6.

The Site was severely restricted with FMC remaining Fully Operational throughout All Construction Phases, which was one of the main reasons WMS Ltd were appointed as Project Managers and Employers Agent's, highlighting their in depth knowledge of this Specialised Industrial Market.		 Bay 5 Extension Steelwork erected with the New High Bay, Bay 6 seen in the distance. Floor drainage channels being installed onto compacted hardcore in preparation for |Floor Slab being installed.
Steel work now tied into existing Bay 5 & 6 respectively.

40 Tonne Crane removed from Bay 5 through the gable @ Bay 5 & installed along with new 60 Tonne High Level Crane and New Low Level 12.5 Tonne in Bay 6. This operation was carried out prior to the Steel Fabricators erecting the Gable End Trusses and completing the Steel Erection fully.
Again, intense & concentrated co-ordination was required by WMS Ltd Project Management Team, Main Contractor and Client Direct, whilst, again remaining Fully Operational on a 24-7 basis.
